About Me

My photo
Emily
I raise chickens... mostly for friendship. Prior to the barred rocks, there were 7 rock cornish crosses that occupied the chicken house. Now they occupy the freezer but make special appearances on holidays and birthdays. This fate does not await the barred rocks. They are friends. These chickens live in a chicken palace, aka a renovated milk house, rebuilt using almost all recycled materials. The cost was minimal (only a blood sacrifice and a deformed thumb). They have a large yard to run around and enjoy eating special chicken treats in the yard each morning. They enjoy gruel, yogurt, cheese curds, raspberries, bread, broccoli, and many other things, except melon, mandarin oranges, and bananas. The chickens are very friendly and will roost on a person's arm and slowly shut their dinosaur eyelids. They like to cluck and trumpet whenever they receive a new chicken treat. They play chicken-keep-away when they have cheese curds or berries. They like to meet new people, take long walks on the beach, and ride horses.
